‘Creepy Crawlies’ is part of an Earth & Life Science Series of 6 books which provide children aged 6-9 ( key stages 1 & 2) with materials to give them a scientifically holistic understanding of their world and their place in it.
The book is decided into 2 sections:
Section 1 – ‘Using Information’ Activity Pages- This section explores the highly fascinating world of Creepy Crawlies. For example, for the topic entitled Bug Study, students are taught that there are over a million different types of insects. Furthermore, there are more bugs in the world than ALL other animals put together! They are then invited to complete a series of activities to reinforce what they have learnt. Other topics explored ranged from ‘The Good, The Bad & the Creepy’ to ‘Interesting Insects’
Section 2- General Activity Pages -This section provides children with a range of fun practical activities to further consolidate their knowledge of Creepy Crawlies. Activity topics range from ‘Which one is an Insect’ to ‘Bug Power’
